On 17 January 2025, the Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum was held in Warsaw, providing an important platform for dialogue and the development of economic cooperation between Poland and Vietnam. The event was organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, with the active participation of the Polish-Ukrainian Investment and Trade Office (PUBIH), which supports international investment and trade partnerships.
The Forum gathered over 150 representatives of Polish enterprises and delegates from nearly 30 of Vietnam’s largest companies, including Vietnam Electricity, Vietnam National Chemical Group and Vietnam Airlines, as well as representatives of government administrations from both countries. Among the distinguished guests were Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, and Poland’s Minister of Economic Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk. The meeting provided a platform for direct discussions on prospects for cooperation in sectors such as chemical industry, energy, automotive, agriculture and food processing, cosmetics, and modern technologies.
During the Forum, special emphasis was placed on the importance of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) coming into effect, as well as the upcoming ratification of the EU- Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) by Poland. These agreements create a solid institutional framework conducive to the development of bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister Nguyen Hong Dien highlighted Poland’s role as a key partner in Central and Eastern Europe and as a gateway to the EU market for Vietnamese products and investments. Minister Krzysztof Paszyk, in turn, emphasized Poland’s commitment to promoting exports and supporting the presence of Polish companies in the dynamically growing Vietnamese market.
The Forum also featured discussion panels addressing the successes of Polish companies already operating in Vietnam, analysing market challenges, public support mechanisms and investment financing opportunities. Particular attention was given to sectors with the greatest growth potential, including digital technologies, Smart City solutions, pharmaceuticals, and modern environmental technologies.

The Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum demonstrated the importance of international economic events in building trust, exchanging knowledge and opening new channels of cooperation. The strong presence of representatives from government and business circles of both countries confirmed that Polish-Vietnamese cooperation is on a path of dynamic growth, with the potential of bilateral relations increasingly being translated into practical outcomes.
